From beautiful Lake Sakakawea to the majestic badlands, the
western North Dakota landscape is as inspiring as the people
who live here. Our history is exciting, too, filled with
drama and peopled with wonderful characters. This is the
area where, in 1806, The Explorer, Captain Meriwether Lewis,
while on a hunting trip in the rugged Butte area near Lund's
Landing Marina & Lodge was shot in the buttocks. You can retrace the
explorer's footsteps along our celebrated Lake Sakakawea and
visit our Lewis & Clark interpretive trail. Or browse
through artifacts at one of our many area museums and sample
some of our regional cuisine like pan fried walleye and Juneberry pie.
On our
website you'll find details about attractions and activities
at Lund's Landing Marina &
Lodge, enough to hopefully entice to
explore and experience Lund's Landing's rich past and colorful
present. We invite you to visit new places and new faces
as well as those well known to you and we invite you to return
soon. |
